We teach and advocate necessary strategies to create a zero-waste food cycle
including composting, local food production, preparation, and preservation.
We connect, educate, engage and nourish communities while providing access
to nutritious & sustainable food for those most marginalized.
We work on dismantling discriminatory systems, advocating for justice & equality for all.
In June we created a program responding to urgent needs. “Last Mile Delivery,” ensures that healthy, 30 lb boxes of fresh food reach those in need. With up to 32 trucks a week of 1008 boxes per truck, we have worked with community partners and our networks to create a food distribution circuit to feed those most marginalized.
100% volunteer, we were part of all 4 rounds of USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program.
Each round has solidified additional vendor relationships making The growingSOUL Collaborative a nimble and cohesive operation. We are a preferred non-profit partner in our efforts, which expands both our impact in feeding hundreds of thousands of families during this crisis, and the growing engagement of our communities.
Upon completion of the USDA food program Dec 31, growingSOUL seeks to replicate our food distribution program. We are actively looking for donations to allow us to continue feeding our neighbors in need.
growingSOUL is a non profit and eligible for tax deductions.
